Everybody talks about weather and these sites can help take much of the mystery out of the "weather."   You can use these sites to plan your next outdoor event, what to pack for where you are going, just to learn about weather phenomena, or have your local weather emailed to you on a daily basis...often times for free.


  The Weather Channel ... This is the Weather Channel's website.  Easy navigation will get you a weather report for just about anyplace in the world.   You can create your own page too.  However, too many advertising banners.

   Intellicast.com ... Weather for active lives.  Check on the weather anywhere in the world at this site.  Weather headlines, educational information, and free email forecasts for your area every day.  Radar and satellite imagery is outstanding.

 
  National Weather Service   The National Hurricane Center tracks hurricanes, typhoons, and tropical cyclones around the world.  NWS's mission is to save lives, mitigate property loss, and improve economic efficiency by issuing the best watches, warnings, forecasts and analyses of hazardous tropical weather, and by increasing understanding of these hazards.

 Wunderground.com ... Gives you more than just the weather forecast...explains terms.  Offers a wide selection of maps.  For $10 a year it can be advertising free and you can have your weather emailed to you.
